Unlock a Password-Protected PDF (When You Know the Password)
Bank statements, GST documents and some marketplace downloads arrive password-protected. Entering the password every time – or tools refusing to merge or crop the file – is a nuisance.
If you know the password, you can save an unlocked copy.
How to unlock
- Open the Unlock PDF tool.
- Drop the locked PDF.
- Enter the password if asked.
- Click Unlock & Download.
What you get
The new PDF opens without a password. Pages are saved as high-quality images, so the file looks the same and prints well, but text may no longer be selectable.
When to unlock
- Bank statements needed in one merged file.
- GST or tax documents for your accountant.
- Label or invoice PDFs that crop or merge tools reject.
Quality and size
Because pages are saved as high-quality images, the unlocked file prints sharply. File size can grow for long documents; if that is a problem, split the file or convert only the pages you need.
Keep unlocked files safe
An unlocked copy can be opened by anyone who gets the file. Share it only with the people who need it, store it in a private folder, and delete extra copies once the work is done.
Responsible use
Only unlock files you own or have permission to use. This tool does not crack unknown passwords.
