MRP Sticker Printing for Online Sellers: A Practical Guide

Updated 27 October 2026 · 2 min read · By the LabelCroppers team

Products sold in India generally need certain declarations on their packaging, such as MRP. Sellers often add these with stickers.

Printing them yourself keeps costs low and lets you update prices quickly.

What to include

Check the Legal Metrology requirements that apply to your product category with your adviser or the official rules. Commonly printed details include MRP (inclusive of all taxes), product name, size or quantity and manufacturer or packer details.

Design the sticker

In the SKU & MRP sticker maker, enter the code and add text lines for each detail. Keep text large enough to read.

Sticker size ideas

  • Garment tags and polybags: 50×25 mm or 50×38 mm.
  • Boxes: 75×50 mm or larger.
  • A4 sheets with 24–65 labels for office printers.

Keep it consistent

Use the same layout for every product: product name on the first line, size or quantity next, then MRP. Buyers and packers find information faster, and returns checks are easier.

Updating prices

When MRP changes, print fresh stickers for new stock and over-label old stock where allowed. Keep a record of the date of change for your own reference.

Test before bulk printing

Print one sheet or a few labels, stick them on the actual pack and check readability and fit. Adjust the sticker size or line text before printing hundreds.

Print and apply

  • Choose a sticker size that fits your packaging.
  • Use laser or thermal for smudge-free print.
  • Stick it where buyers can see it.
