Label size and position

  • Label prints small: the PDF was not cropped, or the printer paper size is A4. Crop it and set 4×6.
  • Edges cut off: print margins are not None, or scale is not 100%.
  • Label sideways: turn on Auto-rotate or set orientation to portrait.
  • Labels drift down the roll: calibrate the gap sensor.

Print quality

  • Blank stickers: the roll is loaded upside down or the printer is set to thermal-transfer (ribbon) mode.
  • Faint print: increase darkness or clean the head with isopropyl alcohol.
  • Smudged barcodes: darkness too high or speed too fast.

PDF problems

  • Password-protected PDF: use Unlock PDF first.
  • Wrong area cropped: click Adjust crop, then Reset box.
  • Another marketplace’s label: the Snapdeal label crop tool warns you and suggests Auto-detect.

Quick checklist before printing

  1. Crop the PDF first – never print the raw A4 file on a 4×6 roll.
  2. Open the cropped PDF in Chrome or Adobe Reader.
  3. Set paper to 4×6 / 100×150 mm and scale to 100% (Actual size).
  4. Print one label and scan the barcode with your phone.
  5. Print the rest.

Still not right?

If the label prints shifted every time, recalibrate the printer (most thermal printers calibrate by holding the feed button). If the label prints blank, the roll may be loaded upside down or may not be direct thermal paper.

When to reprint

Reprint any label with a wrinkled, smudged or partly covered barcode before handover. Use Extract pages on the cropped PDF to print just the pages you need.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I get an extra blank sticker after each label?

The paper height is set longer than 6 inches. Use the exact 4×6 size.

Can low battery or power cause faint print?

Unstable power can affect some printers; use a proper adapter.

How do I clean the print head?

Switch off, open the cover and wipe the head gently with an isopropyl alcohol swab.

Why does the label print on two stickers?

The page size in the printer driver does not match the roll; set it to 4×6.
