AJIO Pricing and Discount Strategy

Updated 27 October 2026 · 3 min read · By the LabelCroppers team

AJIO shoppers respond to discounts, but brand perception matters on a curated platform. Plan pricing so you can join events without losing money.

Floor price

Include commission and fees from your agreement, logistics, returns, packaging and product cost.

Discount bands

Define normal, event and clearance discounts per category.

Event pricing

Plan AJIO sale event discounts in advance from your floor price.

Building the floor price

Floor price = product cost + packaging + commission and fees (from your agreement) + logistics + expected returns + marketing allowance. Event discounts must keep you above it.

Brand perception

Constant deep discounts can make a premium brand look cheap. Use planned event discounts and separate clearance for older stock.

Price consistency

Keep prices reasonably consistent with your other channels to avoid confusing shoppers.

Understanding your real margin

Start each style's pricing sheet with the full cost stack: fabric, making, trims, packaging, inward freight, commission and fees from your agreement, outbound logistics, and an allowance for returns. Add your target profit to get the minimum selling price. Then set MRP so that planned event discounts still land above that minimum.

Revisit this sheet whenever fabric prices, agreement terms or return rates change.

Discount psychology on fashion platforms

Shoppers on fashion marketplaces are used to seeing a discount percentage. Very small discounts may not register, while extreme ones can make a brand look like it is clearing unwanted stock. Many brands keep a moderate everyday discount, deeper planned event discounts, and a separate clearance strategy for older stock – and keep new arrivals closer to full price.

Clearance without hurting the brand

Clear older stock through time-limited offers, bundles or outlet-style channels rather than permanent deep discounts on new collections. Keep new arrivals close to full price so your brand stays premium.

Testing price points

Test small changes on a few styles and measure sell-through over two weeks. Sometimes a lower discount sells nearly as well, protecting margin without hurting volume.
