How to Sell on AJIO: Seller Onboarding Guide for Fashion Brands

Updated 27 October 2026 · 4 min read · By the LabelCroppers team

AJIO is Reliance's fashion and lifestyle marketplace, known for curated brands, international labels and a fashion-forward audience. Like Myntra, it reviews sellers before onboarding, so preparation matters.

Who should apply

AJIO suits fashion, footwear, accessories and lifestyle brands with consistent quality, good imagery and a clear brand identity. A trademark for your brand and a well-shot catalog improve your chances.

The application process

  • Apply through the AJIO seller portal with business and tax details.
  • Agree to AJIO's terms and submit documents.
  • AJIO reviews your brand, products and pricing.
  • After approval you sign the seller agreement, which sets commission, payment cycle and other terms.
  • You get access to the seller dashboard to manage catalog, orders and performance.

Documents to prepare

  • GST registration.
  • PAN.
  • Bank account details.
  • Business registration documents.
  • Brand trademark certificate or application.
  • Address proof for your warehouse.

AJIO confirms the exact list during onboarding.

Commission and payments

Commission and fees are defined in your seller agreement and vary by category and model. AJIO collects payment from customers and remits your share after deducting commission and fees, according to the payment cycle in your agreement.

Cataloguing

Use AJIO's templates and image guidelines. Model photography, accurate attributes and size charts are essential. See AJIO catalog guide.

Order processing and labels

Many AJIO sellers work on dropship (order-level) processing: you pack each order and print AJIO's shipping label. AJIO labels currently come in two formats, and matching each label to the right SKU is a common pain point. The AJIO label crop reads your order Excel and stamps the SKU and quantity on old and new labels.

Making your application stand out

AJIO's team reviews brand fit, product quality, pricing and imagery. Share a concise brand profile, a sample catalog with professional photos, your price range and your production capacity. If you already sell on other fashion platforms, show ratings and sell-through – evidence that customers like your products reduces perceived risk.

First weeks on AJIO

Start with your strongest styles in full size sets, keep inventory accurate, and fulfil every order on time. Watch returns and ratings daily and fix sizing or image issues quickly. Plan participation in AJIO sale events with your account contact.

Common early mistakes

  • Shipping labels for orders that were cancelled after the label was downloaded.
  • Mixing up SKUs because labels do not show the product.
  • Using images that do not match AJIO's guidelines and getting styles rejected.
  • Not reconciling payments against orders.

Is AJIO the right marketplace for your brand?

AJIO's shoppers are fashion-aware and browse curated collections, international labels and trend-led Indian brands. That makes it a good fit for brands with a clear design point of view, consistent quality and photography that looks at home next to established labels. It is a weaker fit for unbranded commodity products competing purely on the lowest price – value marketplaces such as Meesho and Shopsy usually suit those better.

A useful test: open AJIO, browse your category and imagine your best product photographed and priced next to the top results. If it would look comparable or better, prepare your application. If not, invest in photography, packaging and product finishing first.

Setting up operations before approval

Do not wait for approval to organise your warehouse. Give every product a style code and SKU (for example STYLE-COLOUR-SIZE), store each SKU in a labelled bin, and keep an inventory sheet that you update daily. Decide who will download orders, process labels, pack and hand over. When the first orders arrive, you want a routine – not improvisation.

Test your label workflow with a sample: AJIO labels show order or shipment numbers rather than product names, so the step that links each label to the right SKU is critical. Practise it with the AJIO label crop and your order sheet so you know how stamping, sorting and the error file work before volume arrives.

AJIO compared with Myntra

Both are curated fashion platforms with brand-focused audiences. Many brands sell on both, using the same catalog data and photography with platform-specific adjustments. Operational discipline – accurate stock, fast fulfilment and low returns – is what both reward.
