How to Sell on FirstCry: Seller Guide for Kids and Baby Brands

Updated 27 October 2026 · 4 min read · By the LabelCroppers team

FirstCry is India's largest specialist platform for baby and kids' products – clothing, footwear, toys, baby care, school supplies and more. Parents trust it for safe, age-appropriate products, which is exactly why it is selective about the brands it works with.

This guide explains how the tie-up process works and what you need to succeed once you are live.

How to apply

FirstCry does not use an open self-registration like Meesho. The common route is through the FirstCry website: log in, open My Account → Sell With Us, choose Business/Supplier Tie-up, and send a query describing your brand and products. If your brand fits, FirstCry's business team contacts you, asks for documents and catalog details, and after verification gives you access to the vendor portal.

Write a clear first message: brand name, product categories, age ranges, price range, monthly capacity, current marketplaces and a link to your catalog or Instagram. It helps the team assess fit quickly.

What FirstCry looks for

  • Products made for babies and children with appropriate safety and quality.
  • A clear brand with consistent quality.
  • Age-based sizing and accurate product information.
  • Competitive pricing for parents.
  • Reliable supply and fulfilment.

Documents to keep ready

  • GST registration and PAN.
  • Bank details.
  • Business registration documents.
  • Brand trademark (registered or applied).
  • Product compliance certificates where required – for example BIS certification for toys, which is mandatory in India under the Toys (Quality Control) Order.

The business team will tell you the exact list for your categories.

Business models

FirstCry works with brands through different arrangements, including dropship-style models where the seller holds stock and ships orders with FirstCry's labels and invoices. The model and commercial terms are agreed with FirstCry's team. See FirstCry business models.

Cataloguing for parents

Parents shop by age, safety and comfort. Listings need accurate age ranges, measurements, fabric and care details, and clear photos. See FirstCry catalog guide.

Daily operations

FirstCry dropship orders typically come as a merged PDF of invoices and shipping labels. Matching each label to its invoice to find the style and age is slow by hand. The FirstCry label crop checks each label against its invoice, stamps Style Code, Age and Qty, removes the invoice pages and gives you 4×6 labels and a picklist.

Pricing and commercial terms

Commission, fees and payment terms are agreed with FirstCry during onboarding. Build your floor price from those terms, your product cost, packaging, logistics and returns. Leave room for seasonal promotions.

First weeks on FirstCry

Start with your best styles across popular ages, dispatch every order on time and watch returns closely. Fix sizing or image issues quickly – early ratings shape how parents see your brand.

Is FirstCry right for your brand?

FirstCry specialises in babies and children, and parents come to it expecting safe, comfortable, age-appropriate products. That makes it a strong channel for dedicated kids' and baby brands, and less suitable for general apparel brands that only have a few kids' styles. If kidswear is your core – for example a brand focused on infant clothing, kids' ethnic wear or school basics – FirstCry can become one of your most important channels.

What a good first query looks like

Keep it short and specific: "We are [brand], a kidswear brand making 100% cotton infant and toddler clothing (0–5 years), price range ₹299–₹999, capacity about [X] pieces a month, currently selling on [channels]. We would like to sell on FirstCry and would appreciate the next steps and document list." Attach or link a few catalog images. Clear, professional communication helps the business team assess your brand quickly.

FirstCry compared with general marketplaces

General marketplaces like Amazon and Flipkart sell kids' products among millions of others. FirstCry focuses only on babies and children, so parents arrive with a specific need and high trust in the platform. For kids-first brands, that focus can mean better conversion and loyal repeat buyers – provided your sizing, quality and safety information meet parents' expectations.
