Sort Amazon Labels by SKU and Get a Picklist

Updated 27 October 2026 · 2 min read · By the LabelCroppers team

When orders come in random sequence, you walk to the same shelf again and again. Sorting labels by SKU means you pick each product once.

The picklist tells you exactly how many pieces of each SKU you need.

How it works

With Sort by SKU on, the Amazon label crop tool orders the output labels by the SKU it read from each invoice. Single-item orders come first, grouped by SKU, so packing is a steady rhythm.

Using the picklist

  • The result panel shows every SKU with the total quantity.
  • Download it as CSV to open in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Pick everything in one trip, then pack in label order.

How sorting orders your labels

  1. Single-item, single-quantity orders, grouped by SKU.
  2. Multi-item or multi-quantity orders, grouped by their first SKU.
  3. Labels without a matching invoice, kept at the end for checking.

Turning the picklist into a pick route

Download the picklist CSV and sort it by your shelf or rack order in Excel. Walk the warehouse once in that order, put each SKU’s pieces into a tray, then pack the sorted labels from the trays. Sellers who switch from order-by-order picking to this method usually halve their picking time.

Benefits

Fewer steps, fewer mistakes, and stock shortages show up before you start packing rather than halfway through.

Frequently asked questions

Can I turn sorting off?

Yes. Untick Sort by SKU to keep Amazon’s original order.

Is the picklist accurate for multi-quantity orders?

Yes, quantities are added up per SKU.

Does sorting work across several PDFs?

Yes. All labels in the batch are sorted together.

Can I sort by ASIN instead?

The sort uses the SKU when available, and the ASIN otherwise.

Does the picklist show product names?

It lists SKUs, which keeps it short; your SKU pattern should identify the product.

Do unmatched labels get lost?

No, they are placed at the end so you can check them.
