How to Print Flipkart Labels on a Thermal Printer
Flipkart labels print perfectly on a thermal printer once the PDF is cropped to the label and the printer knows it is using 4×6 stickers.
Follow these steps the first time; afterwards printing a full day’s labels takes a minute.
Crop the PDF first
Open the Flipkart label crop tool, drop your Seller Hub PDF in and download the cropped file. Each page now holds one label.
Set up the printer
- Windows Settings → Printers → your thermal printer → Printing preferences.
- Create or select a 4 × 6 in (101.6 × 152.4 mm) paper size.
- Set print method to Direct thermal (no ribbon).
- Calibrate the label gap using the printer button or its utility.
Exact size or fill the sticker?
A cropped Flipkart label is a little smaller than a 4×6 sticker. You can print it at its exact size, centred with white borders – identical to Flipkart’s own label-only file – or scale it up to fill the sticker for a bigger barcode. Both scan reliably; choose based on what your courier riders prefer.
Troubleshooting the first print
- Label shifted down: calibrate the gap sensor.
- Second sticker blank after each label: paper height is set longer than 6 in.
- Faint print: raise darkness one step.
- Invoice text on the label: you printed the original PDF, not the cropped one.
Print at actual size
Print the cropped PDF with margins set to None and scale 100% (“Actual size” in Adobe Reader). If you kept the exact Flipkart label size, the label prints centred on your 4×6 sticker with a small white border.
Frequently asked questions
Why does my Flipkart label print on two stickers?
The paper size is still A4 or Letter. Switch to 4×6 in the printer preferences.
My barcode will not scan – why?
It was probably shrunk to fit a full A4 page. Crop the label first and print at 100%.
Can I use 100×150 mm labels?
Yes. They are almost identical to 4×6 and work with the same settings.
Do I need a 300 dpi printer?
No. 203 dpi prints Flipkart barcodes perfectly.
Can I print Flipkart labels from a Mac?
Yes. Create a 4×6 custom paper size and print the cropped PDF at 100%.
